Some of the benefits of physical activity for future moms include:
Prevents excessive weight gain
It improves the cardiovascular condition, the rapid circulation of the blood caused by the exercise guarantees a better oxygenation of the body
It improves the muscular condition, favoring the postural correction
Decreases digestive discomfort and constipation
It improves blood pressure and protects against gestational diabetes.
Increases psychological well-being, due to the release of endorphins, reducing anxiety, depression and insomnia.
Increases self-esteem by learning new ways to use the body.
It shortens the time of postpartum hospitalization and reduces the number of cesarean sections.
When exercising, not only does the future mother benefit, but the baby also does. It receives more oxygen in the blood and therefore improves its metabolism; The hormones released during the practice pass through the placenta to the baby, which will make you feel much better and more relaxed; When exercising, the muscles of the abdomen perform a pleasant and soothing massage for the baby; In addition, with the movement of the exercise the baby will be pleased by the effect of the rolls.
In short, exercising moderately and always under medical prescription will benefit the mother and the baby both physically and emotionally, and is a good way to prepare and cope with the changes that our body is undergoing during pregnancy.
